The Guitar Repair Workshop is an in-house repair and restoration facility for stringed instruments.
What do we do? Pretty much everything from replacing a single string to building you any guitar you can imagine. Most commonly we provide a range of standard set ups, fret dressing and parts upgrading service.
Although we are an authorised Gibson Warranty Service Centre, we look after all makes of guitar and have accounts with most of the major brands including Fender, Martin, Ibanez, Taylor, Ernie Ball Music Man, Warwick, etc.

We have a great new guy working with us now, Ryan Wittstadt, whose a repairman from Cargill Custom Guitars, Australia. Please feel free to have a chat with him about anything you need doing. Recently turnaround times have occasionally suffered due to sheer workload, Ryan is helping with that hugely and we are continuously striving to improve them further. We repair guitars for many of the local shops and at times parts can be tricky to get hold of, but we dont ask for payment until the job is done – so its in our interest as well as yours to keep return times to a minimum!

My wife and I are expecting our first child early January, and this may obviously mean that I have to be away from the workshop for a little while, perhaps a week or two. We also hold limited stock of Allparts, WD, John East, Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio and Fishman. If we don’t have it, we can usually get it for you. What we can’t find, we can often either improvise, build from scratch or recommend an online supplier or website that might be able to help.

Although we carry out all types of guitar repairs we can also help you decide the best route for upgrading your instrument. We often help with choosing pick ups, and know the right questions to ask to help you get it right whether its an electric or acoustic as we have over 15 years experience in the field. We think its important to make the right decision before taking the plunge and we pride ourselves on our honesty in these matters.

We’re extremely proud of our Gibson Authorisation status and have a wide experience with many of the big names in guitars. We’ve had extended touring and high level studio experience but we’re just as happy putting a single string on!
